One view that inspired the Hudson River School of painters in the 1820s was looking north from the Hudson Highlands. This is the site of an old golf course that is being developed as a resort with spa, golf course, restaurant, and inn. Our assignment was to develop an understated identity that reflects the character of the site and the elegance of the resort. We based the logo on a large tulip magnolia tree that was commanding on the site. Our design program concerned advertising materials, menus, house-branded wine, clothing, vehicles, and all related publications and signage.
