The Einstein Memorial is a secluded treasure on the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. The centerpiece is a 21-foot-tall bronze sculpture of Albert Einstein by Robert Berks. Our designs included identification of the monument, with interpretive graphics describing the sculpture, the work of Albert Einstein, the mission of the Academy, and a guide to the celestial map. The graphic structures are placed at the edges of the gardens (Historic building and gardens designed by Bertram Goodhue) to provide information without obscuring the sculpture or the character of the monument.
