Yosemite National Park was our initial laboratory for the design of the NPS sign standards program. Our team surveyed and cataloged existing conditions at every point of visitor contact. Designs were developed to provide appropriate information on demand at each point were it was needed: at campgrounds, trailheads, park entrances, on trails, at shuttle stops, in the residential villages and along roads. Completed wayfinding plans and implementation documents were prepared for every mode of travel, and a information to help visitor protect themselves, the land and wildlife. Assistance was provided as funds for implementation was available.
